From the studio ~
This piece began with commonplace produce: melon, pumpkin, lemon, apricots and nashi pear. Once I sliced into them, their hidden structures came forward — seeds, cavities and rings of flesh — and the golden tones began to answer one another, softened by flashes of white and the quiet green of the melon skin. It held the familiar satisfaction of making something generous from what was already at hand, until ordinary ingredients no longer felt ordinary at all.
Then came the question of balance. I arranged the pieces into a temporary fruit-and-vegetable sculpture, building upward and testing how far the stack could appear to defy gravity. Against the pink-beige backdrop and soft vertical folds of drapery, the arrangement began to feel staged for its own performance — an ode to gold, structure and the uncomplicated merriment of colour.
No generative AI was used in the creation of this work. All composition, editing and embellishment were carried out through deliberate artistic decisions and hands-on processes.
Print Details
This piece features my original photography printed on premium archival-grade canvas using museum-quality giclée printing technology.
The canvas I use is a 340 gsm poly cotton blend with a matte/satin finish. It is scratch, crack, & warp resistant.
The printing process I utilize uses water-based HP Latex inks and UV protection to product vibrant, long-lasting colors.
Framing Details

The frames I use are called 'floater-frames'. I've chosen them for 2 reasons: they provide a clean, modern aesthetic that adds depth and dimension to the piece; and the box-like structure provides the option to sit the piece upright on a surface rather than hanging it.
When you look at the work straight on, the frame thickness is 1cm regardless of canvas size. This means that the frame edge will feel more prominent on smaller canvas sizes. From the side, all frames are 4cm deep, this means the front surface of the piece will sit 4cm out from your wall.
My frames are crafted from high quality solid oak or solid hardwood, from renewable sources, and comes pre-installed hanging hardware and rubber bumpers.
