Return and Refund Policy

This website is operated by Karina Sharpe, a trading entity of Very Splendid Pty Ltd. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to Karina Sharpe / Very Splendid Pty Ltd.

This policy applies to purchases made through this website. It does not exclude or limit any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable consumer protection law.

Change-of-mind returns

Change-of-mind returns, refunds, and exchanges are not available for physical products, digital products, sale items, original artworks, print-on-demand products, made-to-order products, or other non-faulty items, except where required by applicable consumer law.

Many prints and canvases are produced on demand after your order is placed. For this reason, I cannot accept returns or exchanges if you change your mind, choose the wrong size, format, colour, artwork, or product type, or decide the item is no longer suitable, except where required by law.

Original one-of-a-kind artworks

Original one-of-a-kind artworks are not eligible for change-of-mind returns, refunds, or exchanges, except where required by applicable consumer law.

Please choose carefully before purchasing an original artwork. If you have questions about the work before ordering, please contact me at karina@karinasharpe.com.au before placing your order.

Order changes and cancellations

Orders may enter production shortly after they are placed. If you need to request a cancellation or change, please contact me immediately at karina@karinasharpe.com.au.

I cannot guarantee that an order can be cancelled, changed, or updated once it has been placed. Once an order has been sent to production, I may not be able to cancel it, change the artwork, change the product, change the size or format, or update the shipping address.

Shipping address accuracy

Please check your shipping details carefully before placing your order.

I may not be able to replace or refund orders that are delayed, lost, returned, destroyed, or refused because an incorrect address was provided, delivery was refused, or customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees, or other import charges were not paid.

Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items

If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact me at karina@karinasharpe.com.au as soon as possible.

For damaged items, please contact me preferably within 48 hours of delivery so I can assess the issue and, where relevant, lodge a claim with the print or shipping provider. Please include:

  • your order number
  • clear photographs of the item
  • clear photographs of the packaging
  • photographs of any visible damage
  • photographs of any shipping label, barcode, or label attached to the packaging
  • a brief description of the issue

Damage, fault, and incorrect item claims are assessed case by case. Depending on the issue and your rights under applicable consumer law, the appropriate remedy may be a replacement, repair, refund, or another suitable solution.

Please do not dispose of the item or packaging until I have assessed the issue, as photographs of the packaging may be required.

Returns process

Please contact me before sending anything back. Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.

If a return is approved, I will provide the return address and instructions by email. The return address may vary depending on the product, location, fulfilment method, and reason for return.

For any approved return of a non-faulty item, the item must be returned in the same condition it was received, unused, with original packaging and any included materials, and with proof of purchase, unless otherwise required by law.

Returned items must be packaged securely and safely for transit. I may not be able to accept a return if the item is damaged because it was not packaged appropriately.

Return shipping costs

For faulty, damaged, or incorrect items, I will advise the appropriate next steps after assessing the issue.

For any return accepted where the item is not faulty, damaged, or incorrect, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise required by law.

Original shipping costs are not refundable for non-faulty returns unless required by law.

Refunds

If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method where possible.

I will notify you once your return or claim has been assessed and let you know whether a refund has been approved. If approved, I will process the refund as soon as practicable. Please allow time for your bank, card provider, or payment provider to process and post the refund.

If a different refund timeframe is required by applicable consumer law, that timeframe will apply.

Digital products

Digital products are not eligible for change-of-mind returns or refunds once accessed, downloaded, delivered, or supplied, except where required by law.

This store policy does not apply to separately agreed commercial client services, commissioned custom imagery, licensing arrangements, or bespoke commercial projects unless expressly stated in the relevant agreement.

International orders, duties, taxes, and customs charges

For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees, or other charges may apply depending on the destination country and where the order is produced and shipped from.

These charges are the customer’s responsibility unless they are clearly collected at checkout. I cannot refund third-party customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees, or other charges that are not collected by me, except where required by law.

If an international order is refused, returned, delayed, abandoned, or destroyed because customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees, or other import charges were not paid, I may not be able to provide a refund or replacement.

European Union, United Kingdom, and other mandatory cancellation rights

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another region with mandatory cancellation or cooling-off rights, those rights apply where required by law.

Some products, including made-to-order, custom, personalised, specially produced, digital, or commissioned items, may be excluded from change-of-mind cancellation or return rights where permitted by law.

If you believe a mandatory cooling-off right applies to your order, please contact me at karina@karinasharpe.com.au before returning anything so I can assess the request and provide the correct return instructions.
