Glass House
From the studio ~
As a child, crystal always seemed to belong to the part of the room you were expected to admire without touching. It held the shimmer of something expensive and slightly forbidden. In Glass House, I brought that feeling together with sugared lollies — another kind of pleasure, but one that belonged entirely to childhood. There is a particular satisfaction in reaching an age where you can touch the glass, eat the sweets and make your own rules about what an occasion should look like.
I gathered five clear glass vessels against red velvet and a darkened background, leaving only one partly filled with water. As the light moved through their different surfaces, each vessel caught and fractured it in its own way, turning a collection of assorted glass into something jewel-like.

Print Details
This piece features my original photography printed on premium archival-grade canvas using museum-quality giclée printing technology.
The canvas I use is a 340 gsm poly cotton blend with a matte/satin finish. It is scratch, crack, & warp resistant.
The printing process I utilize uses water-based HP Latex inks and UV protection to product vibrant, long-lasting colors.
Framing Details
Your print will arrive framed and ready to hang.
The frames I use are called 'floater-frames'. I've chosen them for 2 reasons: they provide a clean, modern aesthetic that adds depth and dimension to the piece; and the box-like structure provides the option to sit the piece upright on a surface rather than hanging it.
When you look at the work straight on, the frame thickness is 1cm regardless of canvas size. This means that the frame edge will feel more prominent on smaller canvas sizes. From the side, all frames are 4cm deep, this means the front surface of the piece will sit 4cm out from your wall.
My frames are crafted from high quality solid oak or solid hardwood, from renewable sources, and comes pre-installed hanging hardware and rubber bumpers.
