From the studio ~

When we moved into our subtropical home, we found a grapevine running along the northern fence. Each summer we watched the leaves appear and then the bunches begin to to blush. The grapes were sweet and tart at the same time and usually the birds beat us to them.

For Pink Moscato, I took cuttings from that vine and photographed them as separate bouquets and elements. I built those fragments into a pattern, adding geometric line-work to give the composition a more deliberate rhythm. The vine kept its natural looseness; the pattern gave it structure.

Print Details

Each artwork is printed on Ilford GALERIE Prestige Smooth Pearl, 310gsm, a heavyweight photographic paper with a softly lustrous semi-gloss finish.

I chose this paper for the way it holds fine photographic detail and rich colour while keeping reflections softer than a high-gloss print.

The selected size refers to the full dimensions of the printed sheet, including any white border that forms part of the artwork’s design.
Framing Details

Framed works are handmade in Sydney and arrive ready to hang.

Choose from Black, White or Raw Oak. Each frame has a clean gallery-style profile measuring 2 cm wide × 4 cm deep.

The artwork is protected behind UV-resistant Shinkolite Perspex and backed with 5 mm acid-free adhesive foamcore.

The work is presented without a mat, allowing the image to sit cleanly within the frame.

Where an artwork includes a white border, that border forms part of the artwork's design rather than the framing and is not a selectable option.
